Arnaud Lambert ’s life in wine began in 1996, the year his father Yves created Domaine Saint Just. Taking an encompassing path, with years spent in Bordeaux and Burgundy, he returned to Saumur to work alongside his father in 2005, both in the pursuit of quality. 2009 was a transformative year for the Domaine, this saw a conversion to organic farming and a lease obtained for the historically significant Chateau Brézé, which doubled their size and potential. Saumur is dominated by cooperatives taking up to 70% of its vineyards but, with the attentive work from Lambert and notable others, the perception of the region is changing. “We are just the first generation in at least fifty years interested in organic farming, terroir, single vineyards, and we are not many.” -Arnaud Lambert
