Cantina Antonioli
Giulia & Giorgio Antonioli are rehabilitating the ancient, abandoned vineyards located on the slopes of the Apennine Mountains around the medieval town of Gubbio. It was 2018 when they set their past lives aside, Giorgio previously held a career as an art historian and Giulia as an archaeologist. Embarking together on this journey they purchased an old farmhouse and converted its annex into a small wine cellar. Starting with a few rented plots, the couple’s focus was on revitalizing these old vines and the viticultural traditions of the area. Their hard work and commitment have come to fruition; many locals have allotted their vineyards to the couple their project has grown. “Our aspiration was to live a rural life, practice viticulture without too many compromises, in attempt to recover and enhance the ancient wine-growing tradition of Gubbio.” -the Antoniolis
