Château Sainte-Anne

Françoise & Jean-Baptiste Dutheil, mother and son, are at the helm of Château Sainte Anne. This estate has been in the family 6 generations. The estate was built in the early 16th century by the Congregation of the Fathers of the Oratory, who cultivated vines and olive trees, and constructed the vaulted stone cellars which still exist today. The family contributed to the establishment of the Bandol AC and helped found the pioneering Association des Vins Naturels, highlighting the estate's notoriety in Provence as well as its trailblazing of the natural wine movement. The Dutheils have never worked this land chemically. Promoting organics since the 1970s and minimizing intervention in the cellar has drawn a stark contrast to the post war industrialized winemaking of the region. Château Sainte Anne is celebrated as an immutable pioneer of natural wine.
