Domaine Bornard

Tony Bornard holds the reins at Domaine Bornard, his family’s estate that was established in 2005 by his now retired father Philippe Bornard. Located in the tiny village of Pupillin in the Jura, the vineyards have been in the family for generations. Both of Philippe’s grandfathers were winemakers, while his father opted into selling grapes to the local cooperative; Philippe followed suite until a change of heart leading to the Domaine’s inception. He ended the use of herbicides in the vineyards and gained Organic Certification in 2010, this was followed by implementing Biodynamic practices, certifying in 2011. Tony spent his adolescence working at the family’s Domaine; with a keen interest in wine, he traveled and worked around the globe. He returned in 2011 working with his father until ultimately taking over in 2018. Tony continues to uphold his family’s legacy while simultaneously evolving his own with each coming vintage.
