Marion & Severine Granges are the mother and daughter team behind Domaine de Beudon. This unique Domaine is perched well over 800 meters above the town of Fully. The steep slopes of the Swiss Alps make it accessible only by a private cable car or a hike up a steep mountain trail. It was in the 1970’s when Marion and her late husband, Jacques, established themselves upon these cliffs. Together they painstakingly built the terraced vineyards that have given the Domaine the title “the vines in the sky”. This move at the time was, depending on the outlook, nonconformist or crazy as most farmers of the region sought out the fertile plains lying below. They continued to follow this trajectory, farming organically in the late 1980’s and then converting to biodynamics in 1993, becoming the first in Switzerland.
