Domaine de la Biscarelle

Jérome & Christelle Grieco have been at the helm of Domaine de la Biscarelle since 2009. The estate was created by Christelle’s father, Gêrard Bouyer, in 1984 after opting to leave his family’s estate and embark on building his own. Located on the rocky hills of Les Grès, which lies within the commune of Orange. The estate consists of 22 ha of vines, 5 of which sit within the northern limits of the Châteauneuf du Pape appellation, the rest are in the Côtes du Rhône Villages. After some transitional years Gêrard retired, leaving the domaine to his daughter and son-in-law. Since 1996 Jérome has worked with Christelle and her father at the domaine; their harvests each year were sold to a local negociant. In 2009 the couple made the pivotal decision to bottle their own wine. With focus on the vineyards, the Grieco’s philosophy is to simply create wines of quality and clarity.
