Stéphane and Vincent Perraud are the 9th generation of vignerons of Selections des Cognettes. The two brothers following their ancestral lineage, work in tandem, together in the vineyard and the cellar. The family estate is located between the Sèvre and Maine rivers in the medieval city Clisson.

Devoted to organic wine growing, obtaining certification in 2010, their mission is “to provide our vines with the best conditions of life and in a healthy environment to preserve the authenticity of our wines.” This dedication to the land coincides with their family's understanding of it. Their vineyards have been observed through generations, unveiling the identities of each terrior. With their proximity to the Atlantic, the ocean climate along with the varied soils and bedrocks provide elements that make up each unique terrior. Perhaps, without irony, "salt of the earth" could aptly describe the brothers and their continued efforts to uphold their families fidelity to this land.
