Aaron & Cara Monkrish are vignerons in the North Yuba AVA of California. Both originally from the East coast, they moved west and settling in the Northern Sierra Foothills, intent on establishing an agrarian lifestyle. After a transformative experience with a local wine, they quickly found their way into working their first harvest. The formative moment in Frenchtown's journey came in 2015, when they procured a long-term lease at the eminent "Renaissance VIneyard," a historic vineyard planted by the religious organization, The Fellowship of Friends. The totality of their work is all done together, with the focus of expressing the terroir through great farming and simple winemaking.
